A sad thought that it danced (Santos Discépolo)
Before being a dance, the Argentine Tango is an attitude, that of guapo and of compadrito of the quarter of Rio de la Plata at the beginning of the twentieth Century. Even if one talks about the technique, dancing Argentine Tango involves the understanding of the history of Tango, the porteños culture in which it is developed, the different styles, the rituals, the context of the ballroom, and that of the theater. It is about the understanding of the spirit of dance.

Precision of movement, quality of interpretation
Elementary simple movements, easy to memorize, allow to work the quality of the dance and from the first hours of class to dance in milonga (place where dance tango). As the progression progresses, they can be enriched, altered, complexified.
Milonga, tango or Argentine waltz, slow or fast tempo, tango fluid or staccato, caniengue style, salon, nuevo or milonguero, whatever the music, the pedagogy aims to progress in the precision of the movement and in the quality of the interpretation.

The dance expresses the universal feeling of sharing
Just by knowing the possibilities of his or her body, you can learn and understand choreographies, and the particularities of each dance will provide an intellectual pleasure. The dance practice in couple allows developing their faculties of listening, of comprehension, of adaptation, of perseverance, and of evolution. It provides a ‘well-being’ which facilitates the personal harmony and the relations with others.
Even if one is always in the search of oneself, valuing the others, exchanging, and serving for the couple would promote the personal expression. In the movement which they construct together, the lady and the man find the extension to their body expression. Working on this movement will help develop a desire to share, to develop relationship,

a desire to grow together.

It is about dancing naturally
while being receptive to the musical emotions,
and not to reproduce the figures or the choreographies
on rote memory.

Our teaching of Argentine Tango and other dances in couple is based on an organic approach and articulated around the following fundamental themes :

Musical interpretation
Feel the music in your body, pulsation, hear the tempo, musical phrase, the measure. You will not recite by heart figures or choreographies learned but you will dance naturally by being receptive to musical emotions.

Individual body consciousness
Dancing is like playing an instrument, which is your body.
It would not be a good idea for instrumentalist, like a pianist for example, to play without adjusting his/her instrument.
It would be the same for the practice of the dance in couple, especially in the context of leisure.
The precision in the execution of gesture and displacing, comfort, elegance, relaxation are the objectives to achieve and the keys to investigation.Transfer of the body weights, axis, independence of the movements, pressure to the floor are the indispensable notions for practice dancing with pleasure even in a context of leisure.

The dynamics of a couple
Listen to the partner. The man proposes and suggests the movements, the lady enters in this movement with presence. Two energies merged to form one common movement. Acquire the fluidity, the softness, the energy, keep the connection and the balance during the dance, evacuate force and tension in its movement and in its contact with its partner.

You will discover the pleasure of a surprise, the freedom of expression, the body emotions.

The change in role
Men take the role of the women and vice versa.
Knowing and understanding the movement and the placement of partner in order to better suggest the intention and better respond to this intention.
